Higher Education in the Crossroads

  Victoria College is two year-community college offering quality,
accessible, affordable courses and programs that have prepared students
for rewarding careers for more than 90 years.

  VC offers more than 40 areas of study that lead to a variety of associate
degrees and certifications for in-demand careers, as well as numerous
transfer options. Transfer students get a solid foundation by completing
the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at VC.

  VC’s new Emerging Technology Complex opened in summer 2015.
Located at 7403 Lone Tree Road, the facility brings together the best of
business and industry into a multi-functional design that offers a variety
of settings for training and development. It consists of two buildings
with distinct characteristics, but combined they offer a multitude of
options.

  The Conference & Education Center is a three-story 72,000 sq.
ft. facility that is home to Victoria College’s Workforce Development
and Continuing Education programs. This growing department offers
courses to meet the needs of the community in a variety of fields. They
also customize training for local/regional employers. The Conference &
Education Center also includes 18,000 sq. ft. of meeting space that is
available through rentals to individuals and organizations. There are 15
distinct spaces that can host meetings for 2 – 500+ attendees with flexible
comfortable furnishings, advanced technology, and a variety of services.

   The University of Houston-Victoria offers more than 65 bachelor’s
and master’s degree programs and concentrations in the arts and sciences,
business administration, education and human development, and nursing
fields. Accredited face-to-face and online programs are offered to students
in the Gulf Coast region and beyond. Since its founding in 1973, UHV
has provided students with a quality higher education taught by talented
faculty.

   UHV’s first freshmen and sophomores started taking classes in fall
2010, and the university’s first residence hall, Jaguar Hall, opened at the
same time.

   UHV started an athletics program during the 2007-08 school year
with the Jaguars baseball and softball teams. The teams are strong
competitors in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Soccer and golf programs for both men and women began in fall 2010.
